Blaisdell Lidded Jar 15"

This beautiful and unique lidded jar was hand-thrown, carved, and impressed by potter Nick Blaisdell. It was then finished with Nick’s hand-mixed Sandy’s Green glaze and fired in a gas reduction kiln to cone 10 (2350F), making it waterproof as well as microwave, dishwasher, and oven safe.

Nick creates his ceramic pottery works at Dalton Ranch Pottery in Durango Colorado, which he runs together with his wife Sandy. He has honed his craft and developed his distinct artistic style over more than fifty years. In his work, Nick creates pieces with lasting value that transcend time and origins: "They mirror my life and journey with clay. They reflect who I am and what I believe."
